My books express what I have learned about people in 30 years of counseling. That is that we do the best that we can given the information that we have. By “information” I mean everything that we have learned in life to be true. This principle works for adults and children.

My clients have taught me a lot about what it takes to survive with atypical brain chemistry and so all of my books, especially my Genius! Nurturing the Spirit of the Wild, Odd, and Oppositional Child, are written with a knowing that we are all more than our diagnoses! I am learning to look, more and more everyday, for the genius inside of each of my clients.
