  • What are your office hours?
    I schedule appointments Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at the following times: 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:30 pm, with the occasional 6:00 pm.
  • What is your fee for services?
    Counseling services are billed in 60-minute units as follows: $140.00 for one-to-one counseling. $150.00 for couples or parent-child counseling (two persons). $160.00 for family counseling. $175.00 for initial intake sessions and telephone consultations. $150.00 as a base for pro-rata charges for testing, records evaluation, telephone consultations, and excessive insurance provider administration. $35.00 for email consultation, per issue. *No fee is charged for initial phone calls, appointment scheduling, and other logistical matters.
  • What about insurance coverage for your services?
    I am currently "in-network" for Premera Blue Cross and its local affiliates. I gladly bill all plans, but you are responsible for the difference in your coverage if I am not in-network for your plan. Before our first session, please check with your plan and ask them the following questions. You can give them my National Provider Number, "NPI 1710004130" to identify me or say I am "a licensed mental health counselor at the Masters Degree level." Do I have mental health benefits? Is pre-approval required from my primary care physician or managed care company. What is my deductible and has it been met? How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover? How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider? What is the coverage amount per therapy session? (Their jargon for one-to-one therapy is "CPT code 90837" and for an initial session "CPT code 90791") For reasons specific to the plan, if you have Regence Blue Shield or one of its affiliates, I ask for full fee at the time of service. Your plan will reinburse you if you are covered for outpatient mental health counseling. Thank you.
  • Do you offer reduced fees?
    Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis. I prefer to work with local agencies that have done income pre-screening for my lower-income clientele.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    I accept credit cards, HAS cards, check, or Pay Pal payments to my primary email.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Cancellations received after 48 hours before a session’s scheduled date and time (2 working days) will be charged the full hourly fee for the service. Cancellations must be received by telephone.
  • Can I schedule an appointment online?

  • Can I get your intake materials online?
    Please complete the “Intake Form” and “Client Disclosure Agreement” found on the New Client Forms page. Then email me the completed forms via the Make an Appointment page, fax them to (425) 533-2312, or bring them with you to your first appointment.
